Building Mental Fitness in Sydney high schools with the Black Dog Institute!
The Black Dog Institute is dedicated to understanding, preventing and treating mental illness. Our aim is to stop mental illness and suicide in its track.
We are working to build a world where mental illness is treated with the same level of concern, immediacy and seriousness as physical illness. A world where research discoveries are immediately put into practice through health services, technology and community education.
This is all being done with a big focus on our future generations.
Together with the Sydney Swans, the Black Dog Institute invite your high school to start your Mental Fitness journey. We’ve created a mental fitness pathway to help students build resilience and maintain good mental health.
We all know the benefits of keeping physically fit, but what about our mental fitness?
This free 30-minute interactive presentation teaches students:
- the importance of mental fitness
- practical ways to build their mental strength, flexibility and endurance
- wellbeing and resilience techniques through interactive learning
Black Dog Institute’s BITE BACK Mental Fitness Challenge is an online six-week challenge aimed at improving the overall wellbeing and resilience of young Australians.
Participants receive weekly tips, info and activities based on positive psychology principles to help take control of their mental fitness.
Plus, participants have the chance to win a range of prizes thanks to the Sydney Swans and some of your favourite brands.
