The Sydney Swans will look to head into finals on a winning note as they tackle Sydney Uni in the final round of the NEAFL home and away season.
Coming off a 37-point loss to NT Thunder last week the Swans will be looking to bounce back in the top of the table clash.
It will be a weakened Swans side following the loss of small forward Ben McGlynn (senior recall) and Colin O’Riordan (punctured lung) during the week.
With top spot on the ladder already wrapped up it will be about finding form heading into the most important time of the season for the Swans.
Toby Nankervis will bolster the ruck stocks after a strong month of football at AFL level, he will also provide another tall target up forward.
Experienced defenders Jeremy Laidler and Ted Richards will also be taking the chance to continue to prove they are good enough to break back into the senior side.
Senior coach John Longmire said earlier this week he was pleased with the form of his experienced players at NEAFL level.
“They are professionals and they train at a high level from week to week so they are prepared to go if required,” Longmire said on Thursday.
“Their attitude has been sensational so if we require to play those blokes they are certainly ready to come up and be in the team.”
The game will kick off from 1.30pm on Saturday afternoon at Blacktown International Sports Park.
